Product Description

WFA Abrasive blasting media is made of 99% aluminum oxide powder as raw material, which is refined and crystallized by electric melting (thus white corundum is also called fused alumina and white fused alumina). The white corundum sand produced by our factory has high purity, low impurities, low sodium content, uniform particles and high whiteness.
Product feature
1. The Al2O3 purity is high(99%min). So the hardness & grinding ability is high with good grinding efficiency.
2. High wear-resistance. Even in high-temperature circumstances, the strength is still excellent.
3. The white fused aluminum oxide powder is suspension treated by water. So it is of flowability and easy to scatter.
4. Low oil absorption especially for water-based paint.
5. Neutral property with PH value around 7-8.
6. High whiteness. It doesn’t affect the color of paints or coatings adding Al2O3 powder.
7. Resistant to most corrosive alkali and acid. It doesn’t dissolve in water.
8. Resistant to high temperature up to 1900 °C.
9. Good particle size consistency without big size grains. So it prevents scratch on the grinding substrate.

Application
1.Metal sandblasting surface treatment:
Removing the oxide layer of metal, stainless steel, aluminum alloy, tungsten molybdenum, copper products and other materials. Abrasive sandblasting to remove rust. White aluminum oxide grain has strong grinding ability and high efficiency. It can be recycled and will not leave residues on the surface of the workpiece. White aluminum oxide grain does not contain iron, sulfur, chlorine and other elements. It can be used in dentistry, food, medical equipment, aerospace and other fields :
i. -Surface treatment before spraying for spraying, painting, supersonic thermal spraying, etc., to increase the unevenness of the surface of the material and enhance the holding power of the sprayed material. B-Prepare the surface treatment before painting the back panels of mobile phones and laptops.
ii.-Surface treatment before metal spray welding and titanium plating, such as sandblasting on the surface before brazing of super-hard grinding wheel and cemented carbide.
2. Surface treatment of glass and non-metallic materials:
i. Colored glass, glass products, ceramic products, bamboo chips, wood products, composite non-metallic materials and other materials such as sandblasting, matting, polishing, matte treatment, etc. Rubber materials such as printing rubber rollers, rubber molds, PU materials, acrylic sheets, plastics and other materials are surface-etched.
3. Semiconductor industry: White aluminum oxide used for surface treatment of aluminum alloy semiconductor components, surface treatment and sandblasting before vacuum sputtering; removal of impurities on the back of wafers.
4. Mold processing industry: White aluminum oxide blasting media for surface treatment of metal molds, forged steel molds, forged aluminum molds, mold steel, carbon steel, and mold processing industries such as matte surface treatment after mold biting. Q: Are you a manufacturer or trading company?
A: We are a professional manufacturer of white fused aluminum oxide. HAIXU Abrasives has white aluminum oxide manufacturing experience of 22 years. The white fused aluminum oxide powder is one of our best sellers.
Q: What is the difference between suspension-treated white fused alumina powder and fine powders?
A: The suspension-treated WFA powder is of even particle size distributions. The white fused alumina fine powder always goes 200#-0,320#-0 produced by milling and gets particle size by mesh sieving.
Q: What are the difference between the FEPA standard and the JIS standard for aluminum oxide powder?
A: They defined the particle size range with different standards. FEPA standard gets 14 grits from 63um-1 um. While JIS standard gets 19 grits from 63um-1um.
Q: Do you have a MOQ of WFA grain?
A: Generally no limit of MOQ. Even 25kgs(1 bag) is ok for us. But the logistic cost will be higher than normal.
Q: How do you make quality control on White fused aluminum oxide powder before delivery?
A: Besides inspection items such as chemical, density, we check aluminum oxide powder sizes during and after production for each batch. We also keep samples of each batch for 3 months.
Q: What are the difference between fused aluminum oxide powder and calcined aluminum oxide powder?
A: They are produced by different processes. For fused ones, it is a melting and fusing process at a temperature of 2250 °C. The hardness and grinding performance are better. For calcined aluminum oxide powder, they are produced by a calcining process in an oven or a Tunnel kiln at a temperature of 1300°C or 1800°C. Calcined aluminum oxide is with kinds of crystal shapes. The price of calcined aluminum oxide powder is always lower than fused ones.
